The Helen Astrid Singing Academy facilitators have considerable
experience in the worlds of opera, classical singing, musical singing
and pop music. We want to share that knowledge, love of music and performance
with others. We promise surprising results and a great deal of fun as
you discover and unleash your potential.

Helen Astrid has performed with English National Opera, Garsington
Opera, Batignano Festival, Contemporary Opera Studio and in Cameron-Mackintosh's
'The Phantom of the Opera'. In addition to performing, Helen
is in demand as a singing coach and runs The Helen Astrid Singing
Academy in South West London. She regularly broadcasts on radio
and television including BBC1 TV News, Sunday Live and she helped launch
the BBC songwriting competition for the 2012 Olympics, for which she wrote
an anthem. She's written a one Act opera for Tete a Tete and has taken
part on songwriting courses with Chris Difford from "Squeeze"
and Ray Davies from "The Kinks". Read

Joseph Marshall a graduate of the London College of
Music (GLCM, BA and LLCM) and an acclaimed British pianist, teaches piano,
saxophone and clarinet. He works with the Associated Board specialising
in the jazz repertoire. Joseph offers the luxury of lessons in your own
home or at his studio in West London. In addition to running a large teaching
practice and working at the International School of London, he is a composer
and has an Indian-fusion band, Ramajaz. Go to

Clare
Prenton trained at Leeds and Hull Universities and The Royal National
Theatre Studio. She is a freelance director of theatre, musicals and opera
and has directed for English National Opera Studio, English Touring Opera,The
Cambridge Shakespeare Festival and National Youth Music Theatre. She has
particular experience of collaborating with composers in opera and musical
theatre. She is Artistic Director of Refraction, her own theatre company,
and a member of The Director's Guild of Great Britain. Recently Clare
has been working alongside Sir Alan Ayckbourn at the Stephen Joseph Theatre
as a director on A Trip to Scarborough, Life and Beth and two new plays
for the Stephen Jospeh Theatre, Scarborough by Nick Warburton Fly in the
Ointment and Cover Her Feet. She also wrote and directed vampire musical
The Watchers for Youth Music Theatre UK with composer Craig Adams.
Francine Luce is a singer, singing coach and healer.
Busy on the concert platform as well as running a singing teaching practice,
Francine specialises in jazz and freeing the voice. She has also facilitated
at the Sing Anything! Club.

Robin Scott is a composer who joined the team in August 2002 on
'A Musical wot we wrote' workshop. He gained an Honours Degree in Music
from the University of London and is a musician, published songwriter
and composer. Within the Pop industry he's worked with The Waterboys,
Billie Meyers and The Saw Doctors. He now performs with the world renowned
band 'Bjorn Again' and also collaborated on 'Your Song Write your Own'
for The Helen Astrid Singing Academy.
