About Helen Astrid
Helen was awarded a Scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music
and gained her Diploma in 1988, presented by Diana Princess of Wales.
She then enjoyed a career as a soloist, singing at most of the major
UK venues including English National Opera, Royal Opera House &
Garsington Opera. She has also appeared in Phantom of the Opera, the
best musical in town.
In addition to performing, she also works as a singing teacher and runs
corporate workshops for large organisations.She is greatly sought after
as a vocal coach and has expert knowledge in the classical repertoire.
This is combined with a striaghtforward teaching technique and endless
enthusiasm. All her students have all developed to their fullest vocal
potential.

TV and Radio
Helen regularly broadcasts on radio and TV and credits
include C4's What the Butler Saw and a guest appearance on The Paul
O'Grady Show. And recently BBC 1 News, singing her song for the 2012
Olympics and Sunday Live.In 2005 she founded The Helen Astrid Singing
Academy.
